Accreditation

What It
Means

Accreditation is voluntary and peer-reviewed. A visiting team examines a program against published standards and grants a level that is reviewed again at the end of its term.

  • Program by program. A level applies to the program named, not to every program the school offers.
  • Levels I to IV. FAAP grants levels through member agencies such as PACUCOA; Level IV is the highest.
  • What is reviewed. Faculty, curriculum and instruction, library and laboratories, student services, research and community engagement.
  • ISO is different. It certifies how the school manages its processes, and is kept through regular surveillance audits.
