Scholarships at DYCI

At Dr. Yanga's Colleges, Inc. (DYCI), we believe that financial challenges should not hinder a student's potential to excel. Our scholarship programs are designed to provide quality education to deserving students who demonstrate both capability and dedication, regardless of financial constraints.

In line with our mission to make education accessible, DYCI offers scholarships and tuition discounts to financially challenged yet academically capable students. We also reward the loyalty and proactive efforts of parents, guardians, and students through special incentives and discounts.

Educational Service Contracting (ESC)

List of Scholarship Programs & Discounts

Educational Service Contracting (ESC)

ESC is a partnership program by the Department of Education (DepEd) aimed at decongesting overcrowded public junior high schools. In ESC, the excess capacities of certified private junior high schools are contracted through slot allocations for students who would otherwise have gone to public schools. The program beneficiaries are called ESC grantees.

Grant Coverage	Covers four (4) years of Junior High School starting in Grade 7.
Grant Amount	Php 9,000 for Grade 7 to Grade 10.
Conditions	The grant remains active if the grantee is promoted to the next grade level and enrolls in an ESC-participating JHS. No maintaining grade is required within a school year.
Termination Criteria	Drops out for non-health-related reasons in the middle of the school year. Suspended for more than two (2) weeks, dismissed, or expelled due to disciplinary reasons. Transfers to a non-ESC participating JHS.

Senior High School Voucher Program (SHSVP)

The SHSVP is a financial assistance program wherein subsidies in the form of vouchers are provided to qualified Senior High School learners in participating private SHSs. It covers only two (2) school years: Grades 11 and 12.

Conditions

VPBs retain their subsidy if they are promoted to Grade 12 and continue to study in a non-DepEd SHS.
No maintaining grades are required within a school year.

Termination Criteria

Drops out in the middle of the school year.
Fails to re-enroll in the following school year.
Fails to be promoted to the next grade level or is retained.
Transfers to another SHS within the school year.
Transfers to a DepEd SHS.

E-GASTPE Guidelines

Termination Criteria

Suspended for more than two weeks, dismissed, or expelled due to disciplinary reasons.
Transfers to a non-ESC participating school.
Fails to be promoted to the next grade or is retained.
Drops out for non-health-related reasons.
Fails to re-enroll the following school year.

Academic Excellence Scholarship

Dr. Yanga Basic Education offers full and partial scholarships to academically gifted students. Scholarship value varies based on overall rank, as determined by the department.

Sagip-Aral Program

Financially challenged students receive assistance to continue their education, funded by DYCIans through their contributions. This program provides annual discounts deducted from tuition fees.

Discount Privileges

Name	Description
Alumni Discount	Parents who graduated from Dr. Yanga Basic Education may avail a 5% tuition discount for their children. Students continuing in a higher department are also eligible.
Sibling Discount	Parents with two or more children enrolled can apply for a discount: 50% for the 5th child, 20% for the 4th, 10% for the 3rd, and 5% for the 2nd.
Employee Discount	Employees of Dr. Yanga's Colleges or Hospital receive a 50% tuition discount for their children.
Solo Parent Discount	Solo parents can avail discounts upon presenting a Solo Parent Identification or proof.
Special Scholarships	Scholarships for achievements in areas like Robotics and Brass Band are also offered. External donor scholarships are honored as well.
